From opening five new showrooms and pop-up spaces to breaking records for event participation and doubling our factory footprint, 2024 was truly a year to remember.
Check out our most exciting moments from the last 12 months.
5 new showrooms and pop-up spaces
The best way to understand the benefits of office adaptability is to see it in action. That’s why we’ve been expanding our network of showrooms and pop-up spaces, adding five new cities to the list.
We recently opened the Mute Showroom in Düsseldorf. Over the past few months, we have showcased Mute Modular units and Jetson pods at pop-up spaces in Paris, Brussels, Lyon, and Frankfurt.
Our plans for 2025 are even more ambitious—stay tuned!
Fast Company recognition
Mute Modular continues its recognition streak. After receiving 7 awards and nominations in 2023 (in such honorable competitions as Dezeen Awards, Best Of NeoCon, or Mixology’23), we were honored by Fast Company, one of the world’s most popular businesses and innovation. Their “Innovation by Design Awards” promote projects and game-changing ideas with “a spark of ingenuity.”
Our adaptable room-in-room system received an honorable mention in the “Workplace Desing” Category among such remarkable brands as Booking.com, Tidal, and L’Oreal. Even more remarkable is that Mute Modular was the only interior design product in the category dominated by office projects. It’s so rewarding to see our innovation appreciated again!
The First ESG Report
From the very beginning, sustainability has been at the heart of activity, so publishing our first comprehensive ESG report was a monumental step.
The document is the effect of several months of intensive research and editorial work of our team. It presents our emissions data, initiatives to minimize environmental impact throughout our production process, and governance practices ensuring ethical business operations.
It was meticulous work—but absolutely worth it! If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here while we’re already gearing up for the next edition!
Expanding and automatization of our factory
Every time our partners and clients revisit our production plant, they are amazed at how quickly it’s expanding and changing. The latest expansion project started at the beginning of the year and is now close to finishing with a footprint twice as big as when it started!
In the new space, we constructed an automatic assembly line for prefabricated modules used in Jetson pods and the Mute Modular system. This will soon allow us to shorten the delivery time for our two major product lines.
Spreading the word on adaptable design
This year, we set a new record by participating in 13 industry events in six cities across two continents. At each event, we shared the message of adaptable design, showcasing its potential to architects, designers, real estate managers, and investors.
Clerkenwell Design Week was a particular highlight. We invited Dr. Robert Schmidt III—head of the Design Research Lab at Loughborough University and author of Adaptable Architecture: Theory and Practice—to deliver an inspiring speech on adaptability. It was thrilling to see our showroom packed with engaged attendees eager to explore the future of adaptable design.
What’s more, we finished the year by publishing “Adaptable Workspace,” the first comprehensive report on adaptability in office design. It describes the principles, examples, and benefits of this revolutionary design approach.
Making office design more adaptable – one workspace at a time
In 2024, we continued improving our room-in-room office system, starting with a series of technical upgrades, introducing a dedicated team of architect consultants, and launching a new “For Professionals” section on the Modular website. Packed with useful materials, it simplifies the process of designing Modular units. In the meantime, we even did a little rebranding project to align the product’s name more closely with its core benefits.
It was also the first full year with Mute Modular in our portfolio—an ideal time to reflect on how far we’ve come in advancing the adaptable office revolution. To make a long story short, over the past 12 months, we reshaped more than 400 offices in 33 countries with our adaptable office solutions, soundproof pods, and acoustic panels. Among our proudest achievements are collaborations with leading brands that set the standard in workplace design, including Meta, LinkedIn, Disney, Gensler, AstraZeneca, Barclays Bank, Sanofi, and Lidl.
And this is just the beginning—we’re only getting started!
